President and CEO
Gary was fortunate to land in a life-fulfilling career in the recruiting industry right out of college. With over twenty-four years of industry experience, Gary excels in building and maintaining lifetime partnerships with clients. Gary’s recruiting experience includes traditional recruiting solutions as well as larger managed service and vendor management deliveries on both a local and national level. Gary also regularly trains companies on a variety of service, sales and leadership topics. Gary’s community involvement includes serving as a Rotarian, Junior Achievement volunteer, YMCA advisory board member, Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce advisory board member, and Wake Education Partnership board member. Gary was born and raised in Raleigh, NC and graduated with honors from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. Some of Gary’s recognitions have included Triangle’s Top Entrepreneurs, Impact HR Leader, 40 Under 40 Leadership Award, Rotary Outstanding Service Award, and North Carolina Association of Staffing Professionals Sales/Marketer of the Year.
Cherié Marshall has over sixteen years of experience providing employment solutions as well as overseeing operations within the recruiting and staffing industry. Cherié joined Greene Resources in 2004 to hire, lead and train Greene team members and oversee operations, ensuring Greene’s continued growth and success. Cherié has been recognized as an HR Mover and Shaker and is active with the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce, the Jim “Catfish” Hunter Chapter of ALS, and the Women’s Business Enterprise Certification Committee. Cherié graduated from Meredith College with a BA in Business Administration and a concentration in Accounting. Upon graduation, she joined First Union as a financial analyst for four years. She then worked in the non-profit field as a Regional Manager with the American Diabetes Association before entering the recruiting industry.
Dennis Wiener, CPA
VP of Finance
Dennis Wiener is Vice President of Finance, managing the financial strategy and operations of Greene Resources. Dennis graduated from North Carolina State University in 2004 with a dual degree in Political Science and Accounting. Dennis has over a decade of experience in Corporate Finance with a focus on strategic financial planning and management for businesses of varied sizes, and received his CPA in 2009. In 2016, Dennis joined Greene Resources and plays a vital and hands-on role in Greene Resources’ growth and development. In Dennis’ free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three daughters (ages 7, 4, and 3), exploring various parks and nature centers in and around the Triangle, listening to podcasts (some of his favorites are Radiolab, Motley Fool Money, and This American Life), and rooting for the Wolfpack.
Hunter Marshall, PMP
VP of Technology
Hunter Marshall is Vice President of Technology, providing leadership for the continued development of an innovative, purposeful, and secure technology environment. Hunter graduated from Western Carolina University in 1993 with a degree in Computer Information Systems. Hunter has over twenty years of experience in the technology industry and received his PMP certification in 2016. In 2010, Hunter began his partnership with Greene Resources and has spearheaded technology initiatives across several platforms that allow us to operate more efficiently, securely, and strategically. In Hunter’s free time, he enjoys playing tennis with his daughter and hunting and fishing with his son.
Jason deFreitas, CPC, CTS
VP of Recruiting Solutions
Jason deFreitas is Vice President of Recruiting Solutions, developing Greene Resources’ recruiting strategy and providing leadership for each of our recruiting divisions. Jason received his Bachelor of Education from Elon University in 2001 and began his career as a teacher in low-income schools. Jason is a Certified Personal Consultant and Certified Temporary Staffing Specialist and has nearly a decade of experience in recruiting with a focus in implementing innovative recruiting strategies and utilizing technology. When Jason began working with Greene Resources in 2007, he quickly set contract and direct placement records and was recognized by the North Carolina Association of Staffing Professionals as Recruiter of the Year. In Jason’s free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, exercising early in the morning with F3, and training for races, recently completing his fourth marathon.
Mikio Anderson, SPHR, SHRM-CP, CPC, CTS
VP of Human Resources
Mikio Anderson began working with Greene Resources in August 2006 shortly after graduating from UNC Chapel Hill. She discovered her passion in Human Resources and achieved multiple certifications in the field: Senior Professional in Human Resources, Professional in Human Resources, Certified Personnel Consultant and Certified Temporary Staffing. Mikio acts as the consultant for the various divisions within Greene Resources while overseeing all aspects of the HR Department. She strives for continuous learning in the ever-evolving HR world and her membership in SHRM helps facilitate that knowledge. In her time outside of work, Mikio enjoys reading mysteries, canoeing, hiking and being a foodie.
