Job Description

Our partner, a market-leading innovator and manufacturer of semiconductors, has an immediate opening for a Manufacturing Process Technician The focus of this position is to support and sustain process in Polish, CMP, and Surface Prep departments through processing and characterization of SiC crystals and wafers. Manufacturing technicians will be responsible for supporting and sustaining Engineering in the SiC wafer manufacturing area of the Materials Business. This position will work within cross functional groups; ideal candidates will have strong interpersonal skills that will allow them to work successfully with scientists, engineers, technicians and operators. Successful candidates will be highly motivated, self-directed, and very reliable. Candidate will work a 12 hour Night shift on a 2-2-3 schedule. Flexibility within schedule is required. The pay range is $13-$18 depending upon education and experience.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform work on multiple projects supporting the materials sustaining effort in a 24/7 production manufacturing environment
  • Work with guidance of scientists and engineers on customized wafer processes and characterization
  • Operate and maintain tools used to process, measure, and characterize SiC boules and wafers
  • Interface with R&D scientists and engineers and production personnel to achieve objectives
  • Work on multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Responsible for electro-mechancial equipment calibrations and maintenance

Education Requirements

  • Associate Degree in technology is preferred
  • High School Diploma or GED required

Other Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering or Technical discipline OR Associate Degree in technology or 4 + years related process experience
  • 2 plus years semiconductor experience or relevant military technology training is preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to utilize basic features of Microsoft Office programs: including Outlook and Excel
  • Able to lift 50lbs on a consistent basis
  • Ability to work standing 12 hour shifts with the flexibility to work day or night
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Must be able to work effectively with little supervisor direction
  • Possesses a positive "can-do" attitude
  • Able to work on multiple tasks
  • Positive, go-getter attitude, active, self motivated and a team player

Additional Information

  • Clean room manufacturing experience is preferred
